The Ballarat Town Hall has stood at this site for over 150 years, born from the 1850s’ gold rush. It has a long history that reflects the growth and development of the City of Ballarat, both its triumphs and tribulations.

The Town Hall has been the scene of many occasions great and small, in which thousands of citizens, visitors, dignitaries, celebrities and civil servants have played a part throughout the years.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to explore the Ballarat Town Hall with this audio tour, and to uncover some of the people and stories that bring this place to life.

Look out for the stop markers and listen to the audio clips as you explore the Town Hall, to hear what they would say if these walls could talk...
