Project title “Places of Unrest: Social value, historic value, and urban change in Ballarat”
Project description Not only do values change over time, but so does the value of places. Using the concepts of social and historic value, this research project aims to identify the ways in which the way that people understand value have either changed or remained constant over time in Ballarat. Some values in place are more vulnerable to change than others, so change needs to be managed effectively in order to both protect and prepare communities affected by change. This project will build a framework for local authorities, communities and businesses to better manage social and historic value in places.
